Are all planes viewable if you only have the standard version?

I’m curious to know if I only have the standard version and someone is flying a plane from the premium deluxe, will I still see their model correctly? What about if it’s a plane from the marketplace?

I assume it won’t because the game only downloads the models you have purchased. In this case, what would you see for someone flying a plane you don’t have downloaded?

No. It gets replaced by a different model. For example, when I fly near someone in a 787 or longitude, all I see is the pointy twin engine jet model.

Ah yeah, okay cool! I’m looking closer at VATSIM’s model matching rules and it seems they do something similar. For example, here’s what they have going on for the A148.
