Are the Skids on the Bell 407 not Attached?

This is a screenshot clip of the loading screen that shows the Bell 407 flying towards an oil rig.

I just noticed that the skids seem to be floating in space below their support spars, no?

And I can definitely see a very obvious horizon line. The things you miss lol

They are attached. They are bars/tubes attached through an eyelet on the 407 fuselage.

Edit! I just saw the skid floating :joy: oops!

That’s actually by design. They’re held on by magnets just in case the gear should get caught in power lines when flying low. When caught they’ll rip off easily rather than catch the helicopter in the power lines. The magnets are quite strong (powered by the engines), but, when moving at a good clip the struts can pull away like you see here…

Perhaps it’s more like a maglev train when at high speed.

Yess finally someone who realized this, Microsoft hasn’t been able to solve this since launch and it’s killing the immersion, for the love of God listen to the community!!! From what I’ve seen FS2024 is the same thing.

Ye :joy::joy::joy::joy: its a joke, make by aSoBo:face_vomiting:
