Are there areas of the world where multiplayer does not work?

We (3 of us) try to fly together once a week.

So far, our multiplayer group works OK.

We tried a flight in the Ural Mountains (UGMS) and were unable to see each other, although we were connected with same coordinates.

We moved to a previous flight area (CYKZ, Toronto Buttonville) and we could see each other again!

I was in C172-G10000, the two others, in C172’s

Anybody else with these issues somewhere else in the world?

Haven’t noticed this happening anywhere specific but myself and 2 others have noticed exactly what you describe. Had an entire flight from Southern Scotland to Shetland where one of us was invisible but could see the other 2 just fine.

Have had plenty more flights where we disappear to each other (but can still see other players outside the group) for a few minutes at a time.
