Are there further performance improvements?

I know SU5 was meant to be the “performance update” and it definitely helped. But I still get meh performance with stutters around major airports in the A32nx, everything set to medium/high 1440p. Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB ram and 2070 super.

Is anyone else still having meh performance? And do we know if there are further optimizations?

In the A32NX turning off the co-pilot’s MFD and PFD will get you back some frames.

My “meh” performance comes when popping out instruments to use in my cockpit setup. While SU5 did get me back up to a mid 40s for most planes (without pop-outs), that 15 fps penalty I take as soon as I pop out any instrument pretty much negates that.

Well, mostly. After SU4, I was struggling to reach 20 fps. At least now I can hit a solid 30 most of the time.

It’s still a far cry from the near 50 fps I was seeing at launch though. Even with a couple of polled out instruments, I was still seeing 40+ back then.

This performance update was a direct result of them needing to make this sim run on Xbox. That made it a priority.

So we will have to wait and see what will drive them from now on. But i don’t think they will work on big performance improvements now that other issues are higher in the list.
