Are these fine settings for my setup? Imgurlink

Hi! Just wondering if this are okey settings for my setup?

5600X / 3060 Ti / 16Gb / SSD

Locked to 45fps in NCP. Vsync off everywhere. (Got a synced LG 27GL83A)

Anything I really can crank up without loosing fps? Something worth lowering?
Just lowered from 60 to 45fps, not sure 60 really is needed in a sim.

Settings to optimize graphics performance and frame rates in MSFS and others. Settings located in NVIDIA Settings (Control Panel)

Will reset after every “clean” graphics card driver update

  1. Low Latency Mode: On
  2. Power Management Mode: Prefer Max Performance
  3. Texture Filtering: High Performance
  4. Texture Filtering Quality: High Performance
  5. Vertical Sync: Use 3D Application

In game, set your FPS to 30 with V-Sync on.
This helped and allowed me to crank up a few in game settings afterwards. There’s a pinned thread with a YouTube video of how these Nvidia control panel settings work with MSFS. I have a 2070 Super by MSI with the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X overclocked just a bit and 16Gb of RAM. A few of my in game settings are set higher than yours and I’m getting smoother gameplay, stellar graphics and overall better experience at rendered resolution of 3840x2160 (full screen res at 2560x1440). 60fps isn’t necessary and very hard to achieve in game. Hope this helps!
Enjoy and happy flighting

Thank you for the info! I cant really find a setting called “Texture Filtering” only. Texture Filtering - Quality, Negative Detail… and Trilinier…

Oh, and unfortunately - the vsync option does not seem to work at all in the game for me. Getting 70fps and still 144hz on screen.

Here is the link.

cheers! Just had a CTD. Not the happiest att the moment, but I’ll have a look into it.

Game mode OFF, GPU Scheduling OFF - What else can cause CTD’s ?

The thing is, Vsync in game is not working at all; it makes not difference.

At the moment only using 45 fps max framerate in NCP and then Vsync off in FS.
Its really smooth (with my hardware), well some hickups from time to time…but I guess thats normal.

I got a bit surprised he changed the refreshrate. How will this affect other apps, games etc?

I actually got much worse resoluts with the recommendations in that video.

There is something fishy going on with Vsync in the game though, since its not “applying” as it should (i get all kinds of fps, not locked to a ceration value. But with 45 fps locked (no vsync since I have a gsync screen) its really smooth. I guess I can go down to 30 too, but the menues starts to feel laggy then.

Is FS2020 running i REAL Full Screen mode? I can easily acces the activity bar in win etc, which is a bit weird.

I’m on a 60Hz Samsung 42" TV and with the Nvidia control panel settings set as directed in the video linked above, along with his recommended settings in game, I noticed smoother and better performance overall. It actually allowed me more headroom to turn a few details up a notch. I have no experience with G-sync and wouldn’t be any help with that. I neglected to mention some overclocking in MSI Afterburner to get my card up to or just above 2000MHz (avg. 1995MHz at 1.1V and 185-215W) & mem. maxed at 7500MHz
