Are we able to now use XMP?

I know that back in the early days of the MSFS2020 release, there were issues using XMP in the BIOS to O/C your RAM. Has that been fixed or is it still a bad idea to use it? Thanks

Using d.o.p.c and never had any issues.

Never had any issues running my RAM at the XMP / DOCP profile.

In general; if your RAM isn’t running on its advertised speeds, there could be a problem with the RAM itself, a problem with the motherboard power delivery (VRM’s), a compatibility issue between motherboard and RAM (check the QVL for your motherboard) or even a problem with the PSU.

Use away.
I have been using it.
If one profile gives you issues try another or manually configure your RAM using the information provided by its manufacture.

I’ve been using XMP since building my computer last year ( Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16). I haven’t had any problems with MSFS2020, or any game for that matter (purchased MSFS2020 in December).

Thanks guys. I’ve had it OFF for about two months now as I was having CTD’s like others.

Is the RAM you have on the qualified vendors list (QVL) of your motherboard? If not, that can cause issues.

My RAM is Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200Mhz (PC4-25600) C16. So yes, it is on the QVL. I turned it on in the BIOS and everything seems to run fine.

Good to hear.
