Are you interested in children's models of vehicles (general research purposes only, code of conduct abiding)?

There are lots of children’s movies and shows that features models of flying objects such as the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying car and many others. Would you be interested in accurate addon models of these vehicles?

Just a gentle reminder of the no solicitation rule in the Code of Conduct - offering or seeking products or services. This “market research” post comes really close to the line.

I have edited the contents to not implie any form of advising for services which goes against the code of conduct. This is general research purposes only.

How could you accurately model these vehicles? Or by that do you just mean the 3d model, not the flight model?

I’m personally not interested.

There is only one way to see if some people would like such things and thats to create one of these movie vehicles and upload to the main modsites.

Looks like someone is playing around with one:

No, seriously not interested.

I think it depends on how realistic the original start out, and how well the developer continues that realism. For instance, the Sea Duck from the Tailspin series took elements from the Fairchild C-82 and Grumman HU-16, and the design seems fairly plausible to me. People that grew up watching the show (I came along before that one) might well be interested in flying it for purely nostalgic reasons.

Another example would be the 1973 Monogram plastic model called the Flapjack. It was completely farcical, and absolutely hilarious to watch the battery powered motor spinning the prop, flapping the wings, and cycling the guns. Mike Stone made a version for FS9, and the flight dynamics were just as outrageous. It flew like it had a Merlin engine pulled straight out of a Spitfire and it turned tight enough to send a real pilot straight into a G-induced blackout - it was an absolute blast to fly!

Nope sorry the idea does not appeal to me one bit.

Not my thing at all. But if it’s yours, go for it. Whatever floats your boat is fine.

Interesting and creative idea. I think (but don’t know) that the OP is asking if anyone would be interested in using things like that to let their young children have fun in the sim without having to know how to use a relatively complicated airplane?

Personally, I think that if you made something(s) like that, a certain segment of the 10,000,000 flight sim users might like it.

Take a chance: Make it. Upload it to flightsim.to. See what happens. You won’t know till you try.

Two of the very best of the current developers began by uploading freeware on flightsim.com and avsim.com back in the 00s.

Would not appeal to me. It would be more for some fantasy game on a console.
