Suddenly the system asking now this morning to put in a CD to start MSFS…anybody else have this issue?
I had the same problem since yesterday. Today I logged out from the xbox application and logged in again. Then the sim started again.

XBOX app authentication issues have been occurring constantly for weeks now. I truly hope MS will manage to actually fix these issues soon!
Actually now you mention it, I couldn’t load any MS games for about 30 mins a few days ago. Games were telling they had failed to sign me in, and MSFS wouldn’t even launch.
I gave up in the end and did something else only for MSFS to randomly open itself about 10 minutes later! (It must have still been starting in the background)
