The Fedex pic was mentioned above:
This forum has really gone down the toilet with this talk
Doesn’t help when the image above mentions a ‘bottom view’…
As everyone has their own idea of what this wart could be protruding or not from the planes, I wanted to show images corresponding to the ideas put forward.
I don’t have the exact truth for everything, but I worked for 15 years on ATR 42- 72, from -500 to -600, I still have my type rating courses and this is why I can illustrate my statements and prove that the idea put forward is accurate or not.
This protuberance is definitely a VHF 2 antenna, some planes have it in this location, others do not , depending on their MSN and the modifications applied or not…
Sorry for having ended up posting diagrams of the toilets to show what does the drainage mast look like and possibly disturbing some people…And don’t forget , in MSFS this aircraft is a simulation …This will be my last reply to this post.
I was only joking hehe
As I say, its function is immaterial. The problem is why it’s in the wrong place on the Asobo/HH flight model. Sure, MSFS is a simulation but that’s not really an excuse for including something that’s not present in reality — especially when it demonstrably inhibits take-off.
It wouldn’t take much effort at all to remove it.
I, for one, sincerely appreciate your help on this topic.
With your help we were able to determine what the “fin” actually is.
Thank You!!
New update but the antenna remains. Frustrating!
