what could be the problem?

You are not alone!. I have the same. The notification area says it successfully downloaded but nothing moved on the download bar and it constantly shows as a needed update so don’t know if it installed or not.
You got it to download? It just sat at 0B for me, and did nothing.
Doesn’t seem to be hurting anything, either.
