Yes, I’ve noticed this too. I’m fond of it so I hope it shows up at some point.
I dont have it either
Same here
Look under other aircraft’ configure section. I don’t own the Husky or I would look.
But, the Seminole and Mooney from Carenado were found under the Cessna 170…
Given that the Husky is essentially a 3rd party aircraft, and not part of the LL/FF and default aircraft of the sim, I think it’s being held back like most of the 3rd party addons are, and will be released in time.
I don’t know why the Carenado 3rd party planes were released. Probably because they’re tight with Microsoft, were tightly involved with the development process of 2024 as they were responsible for several aircraft, and were able to test their 2020 aircraft in time for release. In fact, they may have been the test subjects to prove that 2020 aircraft would work in 2024.
Most developers obviously didn’t get access for testing until the 19th. Some have already approved their aircraft for release, like Hangar713. But many are still working through issues. I imagine there’s so many other issues, Asobo hasn’t gotten around to testing the Husky yet, and it will be released when it has been tested.
(Of course, the fact that nobody realized the Carenado planes would be misorganized in the library is hilarious… SMH. In fact, they’re pretty proud of how aircraft the way they organize aircraft in the library)
Small but important correction: the Husky was not a third party aircraft - not even a first party aircraft. It was developed completely by Asobo themselves as one of the very few aircraft (I guess it was just two) they sold separately on the marketplace - as they make the SDK and the core sim I don’t think they had to wait starting work on tte aircraft
Maybe however they are rebuilding it completely and maybe it will be one of the two for now unknown aircraft we’ll get for free? Who knows…
Could always try to take a copy from 2020 and dump it in the community folder for 24.
Yes, I know, but, like you said, it wasn’t part of any series or sponsored by Microsoft or anything. It was sold more like a 3rd party plane, so that’s why I called it that. IOW, I think what’s been released for use so far seems to be only the Carenado planes and all the Microsoft planes.
I haven’t seen anyone get anything but those yet through streaming. I’m going to imagine mostly because of the dim display issue and a few others.
The Husky will not make it into 2024. They are the only ones that did not sign an agreement. You can help with this by emailing Aviat in Afton Wyoming and telling them to just sign the paper so we can have the plane. This is the only way the Husky will fly on 24.
FYI, the devs want to build a brand new Husky (not cheap). So email the factory in Afton.
Could Microsoft/Asobo endorse this group action?
And… Could you provide an e-Mail address for those who are willing to give this a try?
Oh and… Since we’re not talking 'bout a small third-party creator, can we at least expect a refund and/or a replacement (in a similar plane) and/or (at the minimum) some sort of a credit?
I tried that and that made my whole community folder crash plus it didn’t show up when I tried with the dark star dune copter and pelican
I put the Husky and 103 Solo files into the 2024 Packages msfs2020 official folder and managed to fly the 103 in 2024. Next time I tried the 103 didn’t show up in the menu and wouldn’t activate again. I did the same with the Husky but failed to even get one flight. I miss them both but especially the 103.
I just contacted pres of Aviat Husky as I fly one and let’s see what they say
Is that so? First time I’m hearing this, I’ve been wondering about its lack of presence. This is… really disappointing.
