After all the reactions and criticism after the last patch (ok, some things got better, some things got worse, but it’s a complex program) I would like to say a few words of praise:
This flight simulator comes at exactly the right time. It is not easy for many to deal with the Corona crisis. Some lose their jobs, others can no longer travel for holiday or to their old parents… We sit in the home office and some of the children cannot go to school.
Today I fly in your simulator along the Panama Canal or over the Swiss Alps or look at Los Angeles, where I was many years ago by ship. Or land on the island of La Palma, where I like to go on vacation. It shines in my eyes, even if it’s not (quite) the right world, it comes very close to it.
So it is a little consolation in difficult times (for many).
The team is getting a lot of work done and most of it is really good. This is a complex platform and when new code is put out, sometimes things break. We all wish everything would be flawless including Asobo, but I really appreciate everything that they are doing. Seems like we live in a world where being outraged is deemed as a virtue, but in my opinion, being grateful and giving people who mean well, grace is better.
Thank you Asobo and I look forward to more updates even if they include some issues, which I know you will eventually fix.

I sailed to sea on container vessels more than 15 years ago, but never been threw the Panama-Canal. Maybe this FS bring people together in these times and not deviding like some leaders try to do. Ok, that is politics but we all can do something good in small as it will raise to big. Especially in the richer countries we often forget the people which have to live in small houses, tents or or baracks and have less or no chances to get good edjucation and good jobs. However, seems that the FS community still is a peaceful commity at all and I enjoy to get friends all over the world because of this nice hobby.
On this screenshot (nearly equal perspective and time, real weather) you see the big step ahead. I still like the FS2004/Fs9 and have a lot of addons. But for VFR the FS2020 is really lovely compare to FS9. And FS 9 wasnot perfect from the beginning but later very stable for years.
Even if i’m hard sometimes with them, i join you to thank them for the huge work they have done, do and will do. The sim is still “young” but over time will be the best ever produced.

I think they should have waited longer to release this game, because it has come out with too many bugs and not finished.
That has created too much discontent among those who expected this game… But money is money…
I have been a flight simmer since the early days (ProLogic) and have been amazed at the progress of the projects. I had become disenchanted with the tendency toward making a game out of simulation and had moved to X-Plane and have been very satisfied with their efforts, but couldn’t resist the beautiful scenery I had been seeing in MSFS 2020. I am retired now and funds don’t come easy, but I broke down (convinced the wife) and bought it. I have been very impressed - even with a few hiccoughs - with the work that has been put into this beautiful program. Watching the developers respond to questions and seeing their positive attitudes was uplifting and I hope that they are not dissuaded by the negative comments. I have spent very little time in X-Plane during the last few weeks while trying to master the differences, but still recognize the hard work they have put into the hobby. Still, it is hard to avoid the draw that MSFS 2020 has. Between the two, I am a very happy 77 year old who has experienced flying in the right seat of many aircraft (left in rotary wings) in my long lifetime. To my fellow simmers, I ask that you give this wonderful product time to grow and please remain positive while mentioning problems that are real - not just something that you want.
Hello Asobo. What a great flightsim you’ve made. I love it very much and the scenery is marvolous.
But i have a question. When i had FS2004 there was a freeware add-on of Bremen Airport. Instead of the arrows it was a VW-transporter as a Follow-me car wich he took you to the right place . Maybe an idea to replace the large blue arrows by a Followme-car ?
