Hello,
The ASUS ROG Strix G35CZ-D9V90 is on my Wishlist but here in Canada I can’t find it in stock anywhere around me.
Did anyone buy it for MSFS?
If I can get one by this summer, it should be an investment to keep for the 10 years to come with minor upgrades. My actual Gaming Setup that my son will have, is 10 years old with some upgrades…
Thanks
I just ordered one from CDW.ca and it should apparently arrive in a couple weeks. I can provide you with some performance info when it arrives if you are interested.
Cheers

Sure thanks. But did they confirm that you will receive it in 2 weeks? Or did you see any item in the Warehouse Availability when you ordered yours? Their warehouse inventory showed no items
In fact they were among the first that I contacted by email (a few days ago) to see when they could have it in stock but they never replied to me so I supposed it is backorder.
Just called them and they have none in stock. It would be a backorder and no idea when it will be available to ship.
So I hope yours was in stock when you ordered it.
I placed my order on the 25th. I called them on Monday and was assured that they were receiving a single unit on the 9th, with my name on it. Hoping they follow through.

That’s great, you won the lottery
I hope I will be able to find one because it seems the perfect ready made setup and investment for the upcoming years. I don’t only buy my systems for simulation, I need it for design work as well.
I wanted to assemble a system with similar parts but considering the shortage of GPUs etc it was not possible either and the cost would not have been so different…
Cheers!
Finally, I was lucky to find an ASUS ROG Strix G35CZ-D9V90 at CanadaComputers. They transfered it to the store in my area and now I have it all set here in my room with MSFS.
I O/C the CPU from the BIOS using the AI Auto overclocking option (adaptive).
But I can literally feel the heat here in MSFS. I need to find a way to cool down the area around it because its evacuating hot air that will make my room suffer in summer.
As for MSFS, I don’t have a 4K monitor yet (waiting for another budget for this later this year or the next one) but I can see how powerful this machine is.
Ultra settings (no 4K yet) and I could fly over Paris with a smoothness I never experienced in any sim before…
I need to do more tests but if this machine is not good for MSFS then I wonder what is!
How do you like it so far?
Still haven’t got mine, and no eta yet either. When did you order yours from CC? I’ve been keeping an eye out for this system on like 6 different retailers over the last 2 weeks and they’ve all been sold out and not accepting orders.
Oh sorry to hear about this, I thought you got yours before mine. So it is backorder at CDW as they told me when I called them.
I had it bookmarked in different places including Canadacomputers and every morning and evening I went through them. May 4th I could not believe my eyes when I saw 4 of them at different branches in other provinces. So I called my local branch immediately and they went through the transfer request as I was speaking to them.
I took a look on the 5th and I did not see any items in stock. They sold as fast as they arrived.
If the 4th I knew you did not receive yours I could have told you about it in case you could cancel your CDW order but then again, they were sold immediatly
For the 5000$CA they cost (Before taxes), I am impressed how many people can afford them. In my case it’s not just for simming. I use it for my Design projects as well
