Why have many small airport com frequencies been over-ridden with automated weather messages? I can’t even let other pilots know when I’m landing at these locations.
Could you provide a detailed example ?: airport, frequency. Are you referring the the ATIS voice or text message in the ATC window ?
In NY, the airport 20N gives only weather automated radio. No ability to notify a landing.
