A couple of little annoyances have crept into my Flight Sim.
First of all, on a longish flight (with A320) once cruise is reached, I sometimes switch on the AI Assistance ATC so that I don’t get caught out mid-flight. But it doesn’t respond at all and I have to monitor the ATC chatter for the duration of the flight.
Also, once landed I contact Ground and get my parking orders but it doesn’t let my accept them. The only option I get is “say again”.
Any advice?
I haven’t experienced those among the (many) annoyances of the built-in atc. I am guessing it could be related to a livery you are using? Perhaps try a flight with the default livery, or A320 liveries removed.
Only issue I get is on finals where tower wants acknowledgement of landing instructions, usually when I’m about 1/4nm out and busy with landing and the AI just doesn’t bother although has been on the ball the entire flight.

These issue have been with us since the beginning.
Sometimes the AI ATC assist doesn’t work if there’s some sync issues with the flight phase. For example, you turn them on when you’re in the middle of the pushback while your engine is not fully turned on.
For me, I turn them on as soon as I finished with my pushback and engine start. So the AI ATC can initiate the Taxi clearance, then it would respond every ATC instructions after that.
I only ever turn AI ATC assist (assuming you mean the pilot monitoring handling the radios) on when I am about to take off. Never had any issues with it not doing it.
In readiness for tomorrow, decided to do a complete re-installation of MSFS2020 as a couple of niggles were creeping in. All sorted except for the AI ATC Assists. Will see if the next update cures this.
AI ATC is back…
I’m afraid that MSFS ATC is very old code lifted from FSX which was probably written nearly 20 years ago. It seriously needs upgrading at the very least an possibly needs to be completely rewritten.
