In career mode the ATC cancels IFR mid-flight while in cruise and above a solid cloud layer.
This is happening to me now for the third time in a row.
The problem with that is you receive bad scores when flying through clouds in VFR.

This happens to me a lot. After a few times of descending blind through the clouds, I tried to request a lower altitude after they told me to cancel, but got no response. On a whim, i played stubborn and didn’t cancel when promoted by Atc, and they ended up assigning an approach later on as if it never happened. I think the intent is an advisory, though an often wrong one. I think of the 5 or 6 times that it’s happened, maybe once, the conditions were actually vfr. I think it happens mostly on approaches to non-towered airfields with published approaches.
