This morning there is so much traffic at KPHX that I can’t get a word in edge wise. Basically the comm window is greyed out.
I wonder if it should only be greyed out if I’m trying to transmit. I can’t choose a different airport or anything.
I undestand you. Once I started pushback to te left and then the radio got really busy… I literally made a 360 waiting “my turn” to say stop pushback
There are times you can “step on” someone else’s transmission, but that’s rare. Most times, yes, you have to wait for the last xmit to complete.
I’ve had this happen in busy airspace. In some cases, it you swap to another radio frequency and quickly swap back, you will get a split second where you can key in your ATC request / reply before the radio starts going off nonstop again.
Lol. People bother to use the ATC? I disabled that a long time. There’s just no point when ATC AI is dumb as bricks.
Same, it’s completely useless in it’s current state. It doesn’t even add “atmosphere” as it just yells at all the planes in the sky about their altitude. I guess it’s also trying to crash the AI planes into mountains as well.
