I haven’t been playing often these days, mostly due to my ATC communications completely being missing. I am unable to talk to ground ATC in order to ask for a pushback. Is there a setting I am missing? Did I mess up something within my settings to turn off ATC communications? I have even tried to put the freq’s from a website to see if they would work, and I was unable to communicate that way either. Any help would be thankful.
Hmm sounds odd. ATC comms is working fine on my end.
You do have the radios on? Have you installed some mod that is messing it up? Did you try emptying your community folder?
From your top bar menu, have you tried opening the Gear Icon and look for the ATC on the list? If so, you need to turn it on to have it visible on the main menu, then you can click on it to open the ATC window.
Thanks, but what I am referring to is that I used to be able to contact ATC, with the menu you referenced to and asking for a direct request for a flight following and what not. Now no matter what, only the generic communications show up. About the Mods, I have removed all of my mods except those from ORBX and the store. So, I just tried to make an IFR flight, but it is only showing up as direct on the map and I am unable to choose an ILS landing. There are no frequencies on the NAV Log and I am not able to choose a Departure or an Approach vector. Do I need to re-install the game?
Which airport are you departing from? Maybe we can try the same airport to see if we’re having the same issues with the comms.
Did you ever have Navigraph FMS Data installed? It looks like you didn’t properly uninstall, then basically the frequencies are missing.
See:
Yuppers I did have navigraph installed and recently deleted it. I wish i had read this post earlier. I uninstalled flight simulator and am I’m the process of installing it again. Thanks for the heads up about the file, I will look for it if I ever have the issue again.
