Was flying lastnight and using the Azure based ATC it was calling out my tail number using the phonetic alphabet as it has always done.
e.g with tail number of ABC123 it was calling out Alpha Bravo Charlie 1 2 3…
Today they are saying the individual letters as you would say them.
i.e A, B, C, 1 2 3
Anyone else noticed this change?
I don’t use Azure, too buggy for me
Can’t say I’ve had any problems with it apart from pronouncing the number 1 as 'O N E ’ so before they used to say Alpha Bravo Charlie “O, N, E,” two, three but now they have stopped using the phonetic alphabet which is not so good for flight sim immersion

What do you mean you don’t use Azure? Are you able to use some sort of other ATC?
I’ve had mine use the phonetic alphabet and then another time just saying the letters. Kind of a ■■■■ shoot.
Online (because I have Bing Maps and Photogrammetry ON), and took several flights today in Switzerland and France, ATC spelled out O N E. I let the Co-Pilot handle the radio anyway, so the only time I’m paying attention is on landing.
“O, N, E,” … now i got it. Thanks for that XD
All the time i’m wondering, what ATC is telling me.
I already looked up in the Phonetic Alphabet, if i was missing something. XD
I would use Windows offline myself, except I can’t take anyone’s voices seriously at that point. Charlie the AI Co-Pilot sounds like a high guy or gal going through puberty changes. Jarring to say the least.
Sounds just like a forum problem. But the puberty stage sometimes only lasts for a short time - and then the voice can change too.
Will probably be fixed by the time the next update comes out or after Xmas 2022 in some case.
Probably best to ignore as a minor irritation and d enjoy the sim or contribute to, an upvote, the wish list thread on ATC voices.

How is it a forum problem? Because someone expressed that it’s jarring? Or it’s low on your priority list but not others?
And I did report it as a Zendesk ticket a while back.
Please tell me first, is it a bug or is the voice you are hearing not to liking?
I’ve been getting this bug lately when requesting clearance for IFR, the first time it mentions the airport name it will say for example Paris and the second time it will say clear to Papa Alpha Romeo India Sierra, it’s a huge pain when flying to an airport with a really long name.
