ATC Headset & Speaker

Hello Everyone.

When I was on FSX i was able to listen and speak to the atc with my headset and had all other sounds via my speakers.

I’ve seen a topic about it but in my windows sound system I can’t make any change. i used my speaker via Jack at the rear panel and my headset via jack at my front panel.

Anyone know if i can do something ?

Many Thanks

It’s a sound setting from within the game settings menu. Not sure what it’s called from the top of my head, but I use it myself, and I get ATC and aircraft alerts through the headset, and the engine / windnoise through my speakers.

Thanks for your answer.

yes i’ve done that. it’s called communication something but all my sound is through my headset anyway.

It’s probably due to the use of audio jacks (both back and frontpanel).

I have my amp/speakers connected to the audio jack in the back, and the headset has a USB connection. Works like a charm.

In case of Realtek Audio you can split the audio jacks into separate devices when uninstalling the Realtek device in Windows device manager, reboot and then let Windows find a driver.

IIRC you were able to split the output jacks in older versions of Realtek Manager but it seems you can now only do that for the input jacks.

Note that the audio panel jack might have to be set to “AC97” rather than “HD Audio” in order for this to work.

thank for you answer. i’ll try this solution
