So, if I have English as the voice but German as the text, the ATC speaks German with an English accent. However, if I have English as the text but want German as the voice, the AI speaks English with a strong German accent. Does anyone have a workaround for this? It’s not a big deal for me, but my friend wants a bit more realism while still being able to read the text in German. Any suggestions would be nice

Hi. I would like to confirm the problem with French/English. It’s actually more than accents, it’s a mix of words from both languages which makes it, though funny, hard to understand without reading the subtitles. Cheers

Same with english and spanish, I don’t know if they will be able to fix this due to the AI they’re using…

By chance, are you using English UK in Windows setting? I experienced this several times in both 2020 and 2024, when it lost connection somewhat, and I have no language settings set to french at all. What I suspect is my Windows setting. I set English UK as my main language and French (France) as my second because I speak French, with English US nowhere to be seen. That might be the reason it defaults to French when it lost connection as there is no British English in MSFS.
I agree it is quite funny, but I seems to not to be able to replicate it. It just appeared randomly, and always with french accent.
That was basically the same thing on MSFS 2020 - the system is basically just text to speech synthesis, this means that there is an issue if you use a different text setting than the spoken language as it will try to pronounce the written text with the speech model selected.
To fix this Asobo should always link TTS according to the speech model in use and not to the localization used on screen (so basically loading two localizations simultanously).
