ATR 42/72 Backlight Knobs Not Functional

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
On the ATR 42/72 in MSFS 2024, the backlight knobs do not function correctly. Rotating the knobs does not turn on the backlight illumination. The only way to activate the backlight is by pressing the “L” key, which behaves as if there were an invisible master switch controlling the lights.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you?
Every time the backlight knobs are used.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Load the ATR 42/72 in MSFS 2024.

  2. Attempt to adjust the backlight knobs on the overhead or instrument panel.

  3. Observe that the backlight does not turn on.

  4. Press the “L” key and note that the backlight illumination activates, as if controlled by a hidden master switch.

YOUR SETTINGS

  • Peripherals used: Standard keyboard and mouse.

  • Developer Mode: Not active.

  • DX11/DX12: DX12.

  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060.

  • Other relevant PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5700X, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10.

Turn on the storm lights, and the backlights will turn on as well.

It’s not the way it should work, but it’s just one more bug on a list of the two hundred that have already been reported.
