Hi Guys
I recently updated the ATR via the content manager and since then when I use the EFB to start in Hotel mode or Ready for Taxi states, Engine 2 will not start rotating. The engine is running but the brake is still on.
I can do a cold and dark start OK.
Any suggestions or similar experiences ?
Thanks
Matthew

you have to pusch the hydraulic button over (or under) the break
Thanks for your reply, I think I did do that, but I’ll try it again. Is that the case even if I use the Hotel mode or Ready To Taxi preset from the EFB
I also experienced the exact same thing, and I know I pushed, pushed and held for a few seconds, the hydraulic button (even though I thought that the button was typically used to engage the brake)
I eventually just shut down No2 and restarted it. Shutting the engine down seemed to release the brake.
I’m also curious what we might be missing here.
Yeah…seems odd,it only seems to have appeared after the latest update. I’m only about 15 flights in with this aircraft so may well be missing something….I’ll try shutting down and restarting, just like the convenience of hotel mode startup
I am having issues with this too. Simply cannot get the prop brake to release. I can still fly with no issues. It’s as if the prop is turning, but the animation isn’t showing. Very frustrating.
The only way I can get it to release is once I am ready to release it, I turn to the iPad thing and select Hotel Mode.
After review of Magnar’s new videos (after the update in Part 2), we are suppossed to press the hydrolic button to get the ready light in preparation to releasing the prop break. I don’t remember if we were suppossed to do that before the update. I must still be missing something though, as I did do this when I had the issue. I had to resort to shutting down #2 to release the prop brake. I’ll have to try it again tomorrow after further video training.

Thank you for your post. It seems you are correct. When I was ready to release the prop brake I first pressed that little button. Only then was I able to disengage the prop brake.
