It has the same behaviour in vnav mode so in that case what is the ideal mode for the initial climb out?
Edit assuming an initial climb into IMC vnav gives the same result as IAS only with alt constrictions and will regardless of terrain level the plane upon autopilot engagement until reaching 170 which is surely wrong as vnav is the mode used or IAS
