First of all let me profusely thank you for having taken out time and making a serious effort to assist a fellow simmer.I am on Xbox X series and use VelocityOne.
I have mapped throttles exactly as you have described i.e.First lever on the throttle quad Joystick-L Axis 1 and Joystick-L Axis 5 are for two throttles.Joystick-L Axis 6 for Props. For Reverse Thrust and feathering has been assigned to buttons.(This was after watching tutorials of Sim Hanger)
The problem is with throttles and the white lines for throttle one and two move perfectly in sync or tandem so to say. However when one checks it in the aircraft, throttles do not move in sync forward or backwards. The smaller mapped to Joystick-L Axis 5 tends to lag behind. Therefore throttle calibration in EFB also cannot be carried out.
When I first mapped throttles on ATR I had no issues at all. There was a huge bug when the entire instrument panel use to go dark. That was rectified and since then I am having the above issue.
I have about 16 planes mapped from Single engined Props,Turbo Props both single/ twin and 2/4 engine airliners with Reverse thrust/ feathering where required.
Some aircraft are really sensative as well. but in game controllers if you move the sliders you’ll see if they are out of alignment, and need recalibrating.
I’m having black screen issues on Garmin G1000 every time and I have two versions of MSFS. I saw posts about this problem a few years ago, but nothing lately. It works fine until about 10 min into the flying. Same problem in the flight training or in the world map. Thanks all
I just witnessed this black screen and EFB issue for myself, I tried emptying the community folder and clearing the cache, but nothing has worked so far and I’m currently reinstalling the aircraft.
Pretty sure this aircraft is a lost cause at this point, in my case. Unfortunate, I really enjoyed silver ops in the thing.
I have te exact same issue here. All panels and tablet black, can’t power up the plane. If I use the battery switch, there is a clicking sound after a few seconds and nothing else happens. The ATR is total useless for now. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the plane - no difference.
This does seem like it could be from a mod conflict.
They don’t necessarily have to be in your Community Folder.
If you have any Marketplace purchases, they might be the cause.
Go in the folder of the airplane
On the bottom there is the uninstall application and under it the verify files
Left click and run as administrator
That will fox the problem
At least did on my atr
I am having the same issue on November 18th, 2024 (one day BEFORE the release of MSFS 2024 by the way), BUT… this happens to me ONLY with ATR 72-600F (that is the freighter model) AND while using the liveries from 2PILOT (“ATR 72F Liveries”) regularly bought on the internal Marketplace in the past, (possibly in 2023, cannot remember exactly), and recently updated to follow recent ATR updates by MS/Asobo. Only in this case I encounter the error of starting the simulation with batteries’ switch already ON (actually in OVERRIDE position) but all screens black/off, even the tablet (and this regardless if I am at a gate with engines off, or on the runway with engines on). I’d like to point out that in every other case (like other liveries/liveries’ packs from other authors) I don’t get the same error at all. Since I wouldn’t know how to contact the author (as said earlier, 2PILOT), I am somehow ‘limited’ in describing the issue here on MSFS forums, in the hope of having been of some help anyway to somebody else in my same weird condition.
I am definitely hoping in future updates (either of the aircraft, either of the liveries), so for now, I ‘fly’ other liveries on this freighter model or I leave it alone with its own ‘default’ ATR livery.
So far, no solution I have tried has worked (like emptying the community folder, re-install the aircraft package from scratch, and so on), apart from using a different livery from a different pack/author as said. Which is some kind of workaround, but still some kind of solution. Unfortunately, since I bought the livery pack for a reason in the first place. For now I shall have to do without, I am afraid…
Almost two years have passed since MacCekko’s last entry here and the dreadful issue has not been solved. And believe me, so far I have not published any such harsh criticizm in this forum.
Indeed, I have the same issue as described here at the very beginning in my Premium de Luxe version. However, what is different with my ATR is that the issue occurs no matter whether I use ATR 42 or ATR 72. And it is also absolutely independent from the livery I select.
Apart from all complaining and frustration I believe I have discovered a light shade of hope, a workaround that is, admittedly, only of limited help, but for those who never succeeded in getting the ATR running, it might be a start at least.
My procedure is as follows: I shut down the PC and do a fresh restart. Then I also do a fresh start of FS2020. Then I select ATR 42-600 first livery and an airport. The cockpit view is displayed with the screens momentarily still black (If you click the yellow start button right now or wait for a moment, has to my experience no influence on the issue). The left screens show a big green “T” while the system is loading. After a short while of about 30 seconds all necessary display entries in the PFDs are shown. Then you can successfully go on preparing takeoff. Once airbound it seems be a good bird.
The bad news is that if you make a new start from the Main Menu, even when you load the same airport as before, the issue might be there again. If so, you will have to repeat my procedure, which hopefully helps at least a few users in the end.
The best thing ever to happen would be a solid fix by the developer, of course. But I am a bit pessimistic if this will happen during my lifetime.
That the same bug now is in FS2024…, I leave that without words.
