ISSUE DESCRIPTION
There seems to be a disconnect between power lever position (visually), the FMA indication and the power output.
- Screenshot 1: with NOTCH-NOTCH on the FMA, the torque objective of 90% is not achieved.
- Screenshot 2: with the power levers visually in the NOTCH, the torque objective is reached.
You might conclude that the power lever visual representation is the correct one and that the FMA is incorrect, but this is also not accurate:
- Screenshot 3: with the power levers set to ground idle, the aircraft starts to move backwards, so ground idle is somewhere within the reverse range (the real aircraft will taxi forward at ground idle).
- Screenshot 4: when selecting full reverse, the power levers visually don’t reach the end of travel.
So my conclusion is that everything it off. The ATR 72 being underpowered could be fully or partially explained by this perhaps? It doesn’t exactly help that the torque objective isn’t displayed (amber triangle) on the torque gauge (only for take-off it seems to be displayed):
For take-off, torque objective should be in front of the take-off torque objective.

REPRODUCTION STEPS
For take-off, set NOTCH-NOTCH on FMA, observe take-off torque is not obtained.
Then set power levers visually in the NOTCH, observe take-off power is obtained.
Select ground idle, observe aircraft starts moving backwards (reverse range).
Select full reverse, observe power levers not reaching end off travel.
