What is your unzipped folder called because the download unnzipped folder is called something else here
see my post about it just now
I have changed the name of the unzipped folder in the community folder to
FWP.149 Better Cameras
It works fire now, so the folder was named wrong in the zipfile

Tbh, Iâm not even sure the Becker 2010/25 which is used in the payware P.149D has had an autotune function.
Here is the instruction manual for the Becker Comm 2000 series, maybe it help to solve the issue.
[https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1111431/Becker-Comm-2000.html#manual](https://Becker 2000 series manual)
Otoh, that plane is so old is still uses the magneto switch and the clock from the FW 190 and BF 109.
hoodle156 â sorry, what I meant was, I too had the silent ATC problem that @Dutch1957 had; I had no problem getting the new camera views to work once I added a âZâ to the folder name in order to force it later alphabetically than the P149 itself.
You have to increase the volume on the COM radio. It loads up at 0.
Yes, I know. But even then no sound other than only the pilot.
They are discussing the fact that when you are in the ATC, when you try to load the next frequency from ATC, say youâre switching from ground to tower at takeoff, the radio does not respond to the change in frequencies that all other radios do.
This bug is even worse: after flying with the Focke-Wulf, the next flight with e.g. a Cessna, the ATC still is quiet, one hears only the pilot. Even, when closing MSFS and later restarting it ! ! One has to restart Windows to get the ATC normally working again. What a mess, especially now I know, that Asobo needs 6 weeks to OK any update or addon. They sure did not find this bug.
I have informed the developer and hope he can and will fix this bug.
I donât get that at all.
If I turn up the volume I can hear ATC all right. Actually I usually set the volume at about 50% or itâs too high.
Not to be a smartass, but are you sure you are using the right knob? Itâs not the same as the on/off knob, but the center one, in magenta in the pic:
Volume is off in the pic, which dates back to when I couldlnât hear ATC.
ATC has been working fine for me, prior too and after the FWP.149 updated. What it doesnât do is switch frequencies, but, thatâs known. And, yes, I have to turn up the volume as shown above to hear it.
Yes, thank you. I did turn that knob to 100%.
And my question is: what is the difference between your plane and mine?
Selecting a frequency is difficult and I noticed that the digits on the ATC menu AND the comm radio are twitching as if they want to change, but are hold back. How is that with you?
Thatâs puzzling
.
The only things I would check are:
Iâm running out of ideas.
Does switching ATC voice to Windows Offline restore ATC voices?
No.
I end MSFS 2020. Then I restart Windows. When I then start MSFS 2020, I have ATC normal.
The moment I go flying with the Focke-Wulf, the problem is back again.
Puzzling indeed!
That is why I contacted the developer. Hope to hear from him soon.
Meanwhile thank you very much for trying to solve this problem.
Iâd be grateful if someone could point me to some information about how the directional indicator works. I looks quite different to a Cessna CDI to me which Iâm pretty comfortable with. Does it basically work the same? Maybe the issue is that Iâm not managing to get locked onto a VOR signal? Perhaps someone could show a screenshot of it when its engaged with a VOR? Do I need to do caging? Iâm coming from Aerofly FS2 and never worried about caging.
UPDATE on my previous post:
After several testflights I found the cause of NOT hearing a sound from the ATC: when you start on the runway, everything is running and the MAIN radio switch is ON.
But NOT the MAIN ADF switch. and that was the cause by me.
So:
So now I have sound, and hear Tower and Tracon. But still have to manually turn the knobs. The âtwitchingâ of the digits seen in the radio menu and in the panel happens, when I do not have dailed in the right frequency.
So, remember the frequencies!
I ended the flight with the Focke-Wulf and then started a flight from the same airport with the default Cessna 175 Skylane on the runway with everything running as per standard.
ATC menu shows after lift off the Tracon frequency, after some hasitation it dails automaticly (as it should) the correct frequency. But when Tracon talks, I see only text and hear only the pilot.
So that problem still stays.
Only when ending MSFS and starting MSFS anew, makes ATC function as normal when we fly with e.g. the Cessna 175 Skylane.
Mmmh, glad that things are working out well for you, but the plot thickens as I never turn the ADF on and everything works fine.
I was just wondering⊠do you always start on the runway? Because I always start cold and dark from a parking spot, and go through a full startup procedure.
I remember some aircraft require a cold and dark start to initialize all systems, could this be one of those?
