ATTENTION NEWBS-Great resource for MSFS 2024

ATTENTION: Beginning Newbs GREAT Resource!

I am/was a 72 y/o newb. I have worked for a year to try to learn everything about MSFS 2024 that I can. Unfortunately I purchased used controllers that aged me even more. Eventually I had to buy all new controllers and now I am finally learning.

I wanted to share a great site I found with those of you who are walking in my old shoes. Perhaps you already know about it, but if you do not it is definitely worth looking at. It uses real c172’s and superb animation to explain things that I didn’t quite understand.

Here is the link: Navigraph Academy

Good Luck…Foxtrot6965

Thanks for the link! Got ya beat. I’m 76!

Only 75 here!

67 year-old youngun here. I think it would be interesting to see the actual age demographic of sim users. I suspect there are a lot more old guys here than one might expect.

almost 80 here

68 here and enjoying…

I’m right there with you at 70

I feel young in this thread with 62, lol.

62 years young and loving it.

64 YEARS YOUNG. That bit was in capitals so you can all hear me!

Popeye has always been my hero!! Stay healthy. Good to have you as a friend in MSFS.

To all you really old guys I appreciate knowing that I am not alone. Thank you kindly for your comments. I do not feel so alone, now.

You’re probably right. I started with flight simulator when it belonged to Sublogic. I still remember flying through all that wireframe scenery on my Commodore 64!

Same here, Foxtrot!

My, my you are old my good friend!!

I am 68 (chronologically) and started in the 90s with FS for Win95 and Flight Unlimited. I get all my info via this forum and by many online searches and sources, especially videos.

Hey that’s where I started Commadore 64 with Apache 64. I’m 67

75 here - still got my Sublogic charts etc from way back in the 80’s (folder is dead handy)… I started with the FS1 for TRS80 (cos I couldn’t afford an AppleII!) before I got the MS FS1 for PC when it launched.

I am shocked by all the old guys out there. Did any of you know Orville or Wilbur?

P.S. I couldn’t afford an Apple either.
