Until recently, I was using Windows 10. I also had Windows 11 23H2 and had blocked the update to 24H2 and I didn’t experience any audio stuttering back then.
I’ve now been running Windows 11 24H2 for some time and still no audio stuttering at all - so personally, I wouldn’t blame Windows itself. If anything, it’s more likely caused by user-applied system and/or BIOS settings or even an outdated BIOS, which can also affect performance and stability.
Additionally, factors like scenery loading in MSFS 2024 and the quality of the connection between the client and game servers can have a significant impact on audio stuttering and overall stability.
I hope you’re not mixing up the Efficiency Mode (ECO mode) for apps with some kind of CPU eco mode that’s usually found on laptops - those are totally different things.
In my case, Ryzen 7 9800X3D performs as expected under load, with no signs of eco mode or throttling - and that has remained consistent regardless of the Windows version.
Could you please share the links where these discussions are taking place? I’d like to look into the hardware configurations and system settings other users are reporting - especially those related to Windows 11 24H2 energy‑saving policies.
P.S. As for Windows 11 - in general, version 23H2 is definitely better for gaming than 24H2. I’m on 24H2 now just to give it another shot… let’s see how long it lasts. I already had one forced reset to default settings …
