The system should monitor my flight and then decide when to stop loading details the system can’t handle. In most cases my settings are fine but approaching major cities and their detailed airports becomes an unpleasant experience, some freezes are up to 3 seconds long and a lot of them until everything has loaded. Even radio chatter can cause freezes when your system operates at max performance. I’d rather take an incomplete scenery over constant stutters and freezes.
If the reason is that your connection is too slow to handle these approaches, it may be better to set up a manual cache for the area. That way, you’ll get the approach and the details.
This is the reason the caching system was included in FS2020.
