Does anyone know the difference between the variables AUTOTHROTTLE ACTIVE and AUTOPILOT MANAGED THROTTLE ACTIVE?
The descriptions in the SimConnect reference say only what the variables’ names already say, they give no further explanation.
Thanks a lot,
Jens
Hi SpiralCharger
For me AUTOTHROTTLE ACTIVE
works and gives me the expected results. I’m testing it right now in the longitude.
AUTOPILOT MANAGED THROTTLE ACTIVE
I havent tried yet but i assume it’s only used in certain planes like the A320 where you have a “selected speed mode” and a “managed speed mode”.
Hi Andre,
yes, the word “managed” is a strong hint towards the A320.
FWIMC, I was finally able to find out the meaning of “AUTOPILOT MANAGED THROTTLE ACTIVE”: It is indicating that the A320’s thrust lever is in CLB position.
Regards,
Jens
