Auto Throttle not working correctly in Longtitude. Overspeeding and not engaging correctly

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and add-ons?
Yes

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?
No

Brief description of the issue:
Perfect behaviour of the autothrottle on a 7 hour flight. Then I prep for arrival by denoting a waypoint as my BOD and a descent angle of -3deg.

I still have 200nm to go in the cruise before TOD when I notice that the plane has suddenly overspeeded tp Mach 0.95. I have a commanded cruise speed of Mach0.84.

No amount of cycling the throttles or thethe Auto Throttle button will correct this. I manually slow the plane down by reducing the throttles with the levers. I get it below Mach 0.84 then cycl the Autothrottle disconnect/ connect. As soon as I do the throttle go to almost idle and show T/R in magental beside the N1%.

Nothing I try will re-engage the autothrottles at the correct autopower setting.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug?

(I’ve flown many autothrottle setups for years without this problem, but I cannot see why this one won’t work as required.)

Earlier I posted about the same bug more than three weeks ago:

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/on-low-fps-very-high-terrain-level-of-detail-and-on-live-weather-above-fl300-longitudes-flight-model-breaks-down-mach-0-95-cruise-possible-with-no-thrust/563548

—and it was likely exacerbated by low FPS during cruise.

As aforementioned, the most recent update has since addressed the issue, so I’ll definitely check on my next flight!

Excellent news.

Personally I did not have low FPS at any point during that flight.

If I may ask a small question here : I am not interested in running the Beta, but want to fly the Longi. Has anything changed for it in the current sim? If I load the Longi now, are there any of the current changed being applied, or will I have to wait till the Beta goes to Current?

I really don’t want to waste my time if the current problems still exist.

Update: was the recent (Monday?) sim update the AAU live update?

I would recommend waiting until the AAU I update is live. That is where all the changes are live, and joining the Betas is for those who would like to help participate in testing and reporting issues for the developers.

I finished that aforementioned flight, and the phantom thrust has not appeared during the entirety of my session. Performance is most definitely more realistic now—I’m glad that the bug seems to be fixed!

Auto-throttle worked great here.

My suggestion if you don’t want to run the Beta is to wait until the current code goes live and not mess with the Longitude until then. If you run the Longitude now, you’ll need Dakfly’s mod to make it flyable (according to the opinions of a lot of people, mine included). But Dakfly’s mod and the G3000 mod that works very well with it don’t play well at all with the Beta version, so basically you’d be learning how to fly it the old way and just about the time you got used to the old way, you’d have to learn it all over (depending of course on when this code will go live).

Again, my opinion.
