Autogen buildings look excellent when you're near/above them, but utterly awful from a distance. Especially high-rise buildings

I’m running a mixture of high/ultra, with object and terrain LOD at 200.

It’s the same literally everywhere, and is especially an issue in cities with a lot of high-rises. Once you’re up close these buildings look good, but for some reason they completely lose all detail when you’re far away, like something from a PS1 era game.

Apart from the poor performance, this is pretty much my only complaint at the moment considering the game has only been out for a month, so I’d love for Asobo to make some sort of improvement on this.

In the meantime, is anyone aware of any files that can be edited to help the issue?

This is a bug that has been documented for a while. Please search for LOD and then vote for it.

Are you absolutely sure this is a bug? I personally don’t think it is. I’ve done plenty of searching on the forums and the only similar issues I can find are those relating to the distance at which autogen appears (pop-in), i.e the terrain LOD, or issues with photogrammetry LOD at distance. The main complaint being the quality of photogrammetry, which this complaint has nothing to do with. I haven’t seen anything relating to the actual visual quality of autogen buildings, nor have I seen anything relating to this acknowledged by Asobo
