I have noticed recently that close range 3D buildings are popping into the sim the very same way they did in FSX. I thought P3D and Xplane fixed this years ago with that ‘alpha-daing’ technique. I haven’t seen building pop-in the way I do now in years.

Agreed, didn’t notice it in the first few days but it’s getting more and more noticeable. Entire neighbourhoods near Sacramento were popping in for me yesterday!

Wondering if I should consider this a bug and make a post? Never saw it in Xplane or P3D even 50+ miles out, I had it in Bridgeport, CT today which is not a major city, and saw things popping in 2 miles from my plane at 1500 AGL. This may just be due to the consensus that they did not create a new engine from the ground up but instead based this sim off the FSX engine. I cannot confirm if this is true or not.
Bumping, just started noticing this. Was flying over Boston and chunks of textures and autogen were popping in in tiled squares. Ryzen 5 3600 5600 xt, never noticed this until today been having super performance, other than the inherent bugs.
Same here. A lot of popping going and it seems to have gotten worst since the update.
Yes I can confirm I noticed this today too. Flying over Portsmouth & Southampton (one of the very few photogrammetry areas in the UK). I was flying there a few days ago and it was fine, very impressive detail etc.. today whole neigbourhoods were randomly popping into view. I haven’t changed any settings since the last time either.
Its always been popping in. Search for pre release preview videos and you will see it there too.
I suspect its the more detailed scenery being downloaded as you fly towards it. It would be great if they could improve it

Check your settings. Mine got reset by the update I think. Game looks so good on low that it’s not immediately noticable. Once I reverted my settings to high/ultra the pop in disappeared.
ive reset settings several times. Try flying Bridgeport, CT @ 1500-2000ft. with all the AI buildings and tell me what you see.
