Autopilot: Dial "Increase/Decrease Vertical Speed" - buggy?

Hello All

Just wanted to take the TBM 930 out and when I used the “change vertical speed dial” within the AP Panel the dial would start to rotate automatically and would not stop. Had to click like mad to have it stop.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

Changing flightlevel that way is rather unfunny lol

Thanks!

Until the bug is fixed then use the scroll-wheel.

Yes - thanks - I actually started to just push “FLC” - in most cases the plane transitions nicely and all is ok

It’s a new bug that affects all the rotary buttons.

It’s not new - it’s been here since Patch 5, so nearly 3 weeks now. I and many others noted it immediately and hoped it would be fixed in Patch 6 but nope.

I have experienced the same problem since I received the latest update. I mostly fly TBM 930, so that’s were I’ve seen it. Cannot control the vertical speed change. It seems to “take off” after getting to about 1500 fpm and scroll like crazy to 9900, then remain stuck there.

Overall, since the last update, the TBM 930 seems to be very hard to control. It cannot fly level, and either resists turning or over-turns and rolls out of control.

Can I roll back to the previous update level? At least I could fly there!

Unfortunately we can’t rollback any of the updates. We are made to suffer until it is (hopefully) fixed in a future update. I had my first encounter with this bug last night. It is annoying.

However as someone else mentioned above, use the scroll wheel on your mouse instead of pressing the buttons on the VS control.

Oh. Nice to see this reported, I thought I had an issue with my mouse. I now use CTRL+Page Up and Down to increase/decrease altitude and CTRL+Home/End to move the VS

Actually, I ran into this problem AND had a mouse going bad at the same time! That’ll do a number on your brain!
