• msfs 2024 autopilot does not engage using joystick or honeycomb yoke. Both worked in MSFS 2020. Using c1 keyboard, autopilot seems to connect when test on the ground but does not connect in flight.
This has occurred in multiple aircraft ( haven’t tested all) including Cessna 172 , ms Beech twin, and king air. Also, autopilot button in cockpit also does not operate.
Happens every time.
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Flight director is engaged, OBS set properly, have not accessed developer mode. Using same procedures used for many hours in MSFS 2020
I am Operating windows 11. System meets of exceeds “recommmended” computer specs.

I have yet to see an aircraft in which it worked right at all. I am not a real pilot, but I spent enough time learning to know how to use the AP systems. I even double checked with ChatGPT. And as far as I can tell the NAV never works, the VNAV will work on some aircraft. The sub systems such as FLC, and VS will work on a lot of aircraft, and on some other aircraft they only partly work (FLC won’t keep the proper altitude selected, and nothing will make it). And lastly is the APP approach system, which is supposed to pick up on the locator and follow the proper glide path into landing. I have seen it work 2 times, once in a Cessna 172, and once in a Boeing 737. Trying to get them to do it again though, I have yet to see it happen. It might be set to a very few airports or something. Regardless, how can one really have a career if they cannot use the proper systems of the aircraft? And don’t get me started on helicopters…
