Aviat Husky

It’s just a standard Garmin icon?

Well the swept wing one in game is not the icon in the promo pics for the real Husky.

Though truth be known the pilot can probably actually choose their own icon with the real life GPS.

Note that personally I am NOT even slightly bothered. Very minor detail. The icon could be the Red Baron’s Triplane for all I care. When I fly the thing I am NOT looking at the GPS or anything else inside the cockpit.

That’s interesting, did not realise that. that cockpit looks quite different from the one we have now. If only the gps in-game had contast like that, could maybe actually see what the weather topo was doing. also it looks like the horizon might have a vs indicator which would be nice

The notes say Garmin G5 but the photo looks a lot more like a Garmin GI 275 .

We don’t even have that husky keyring in game do we?

There must be some more optional variations. This one’s artificial horizon matches the in game one and the gps color is more muted. That splt-screen display would have been cool to have though:

Yeah the plane does come in a few different configurations IRL. We got the in-between VFR package

The Cowl flap lever moves though you have to be in the CRTL_1 camera view to have any hope of moving it with the mouse (click drag) if they are closed as the throttle and mixture block access when it is in the closed position, and they do animate as open in external view when pushing the knob fully forward - but I never actually looked to see if it did anything to temps .

Hello. During taxi, whenever I try to make a sharp right turn by pressing the right foot brake on the Husky, it swerves to the left. Is this normal? I just bought the Husky yesterday.

Brakes are wrong. Left is right and vice versa.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these God awful “pop-up” tips whenever you hover over anything in the cockpit? Who TF ever thought that was a good thing to add???

You can configure it in Options.

Yes it does, just like every other plane nowadays.
I know that it was a struggle in the beginning of MSFS but since water effects are implemented it works like a charm.
I’m flying this husky for a week or so and I like it alot.
Only annoying things are the oral warnings regarding engine overspeed ( ok, reduce RPM solves this) but more important is the repeadedly ‘gear up for waterlanding’ warning. This is a bit irritating because even when the gear is up, the warning remains, untill I kill it by pushing the caution warning button on the dash.
Hopefuly this behaviour will be solved in a future update

What button is it?

It’s just behind the aircraft’s own joystick - yellow rectangular button just under the main instrument panel - as soon as you hear the warning you can press that button to silence Betty

Betty :joy: I like that name!

When first invented it’s called Sexy Sally, but after a few years it turned into Bit-ching Betty

I just bought and installed the Aviat Husky from the MS Store. It’s fine, BUT . . .
I would swear the teaser showed floatplane versions, as well as regular wheels. But I can’t find any.
Am I missing something, or did the teaser picture versions IRL not included in the MSFS product?

When I bought it, it included all the models with balloon tires, floats, etc.

What about “gear down for runway landing”. Pressing the caution button shuts it up, but I wonder if it is exactly like this when flying the real plane. If this is how the real plane responds, then don’t change the behavior. This is a flight “simulator” which should simulate how the plane actually works, even if it is inconvenient or annoying when using it. I myself would like the planes to act and respond as they should in real life, even if it is annoying.
