Staff Note: Response from Vendor marked as Solution.
I also placed an order in November 2024 and am struggling getting any response. Really not good enough considering the price paid.
I recieved a refund from my bank. Suggest you do the same soon as banks may have a cut off for claims. (UK) Does not sound very good for you as my order was made about that time as well. I see there are now several other companies about to come online with the G1000ās at competitive pricing. Suspect they are being produced and badged for various new outlets. I have still not purchased from anyone yet till I see how things are going.
Hello there,
Iām sorry to hear you struggle to get a response from us. Iām afraid we havenāt received any inquires though so maybe it was filtered out as a spam?
Can you please try again by sending an email directly to sales@aviatek.com rather than through the contact form on the website?
Kind regards
Hi Interested to know how you got on. Have you recieved anything yet? I would still be happy to deal with Aviatek if possible. Just had to get my money back from bank before I went over the claim deadline.
Finally got in contact and DHL shows it as scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
Thanks
Also interested to know what you think of it. (though doubt they will want to deal with me after getting my money back)
All the best to you.
I would like to say I recommend Aviatek, but at this stage I just canāt do that.
After significant delays I finally received the AV G1000 Desktop Trainer. This piece of hardware is by no means cheap and is not for the casual flight simmer, and at first impressions upon receipt I thought things were finally looking up. The product has a fair bit of weight to it and appears quite well built. But unfortunately this is where the positives end.
To start, the adapter to connect the two displays to the one USB 3 port that was sold by Aviatek simply does not work. After numerous tries and driver updates the best it could produce was only 1 display at a time. So after purchasing cables to connect to the PCās GPU display ports the displays now work without issue.
Now with the software provided by Aviatek (Aviatek Connector), I promptly downloaded it from the website and installed it but it wouldnāt work and displays an error. Another email to Aviatek to raise the issue. To their credit, I got a fast response advising that the hardware I received was new and they hadnāt yet updated the website. With the provided link to download the new version off I went to finally connect to the simulator.
After configuring to ensure the PFD / MFD 's etc. were correctly set I then found out that the software doesnāt work for adjusting the brightness of the displays. So again this falls short, particularly for night flying.
Finally in the sim - another let down unfortunately. To start, Aviatekās software installation appears to go fine and prompts to install the plugin for MSFS 2020 / 24. Selecting install and everything appears ok. Installer detects MSFS community location without an issue and the plugin is installed in MSFS 2020. Plugin installer however does not install the plugin for MSFS 2024. So a quick copy of the plugin and into the MSFS 2024 community folder.
Starting up everything looks fine - no issues popping out the MSFS screens and everything looks really nice on the high resolution displays, backlighting equally looks good on the bezels and buttons. Everything has a nice look to it, with the buttons and rotaries having a nice tactile feel to them.
I go to adjust radio and nav frequencies with the rotary knobs but this is problematic, with sporadic adjustments occurring in sim. Aviatekās support site says little to address this issue, with the advice to ensure logging is turned off in their connect software - which in my case made no difference whether it was on or not. So checking other rotary functions they appear to be better, but also finding range rotary to have some odd behaviour in that decreasing range would also sporadically trigger an increase in range resulting in an inability to select the desired range.
Finally, there are a number of buttons that just donāt function at all. Yet another let down in a product I was looking forward to spending a lot of time with.
In summary, the journey from placing an order in November of 2024 to this point in time at the end of June 2025 has been quite frustrating and unfortunately not a pleasant experience. Communication has been hit and miss, at times emails have been responded to quickly (some instantly), but the bulk of emails have gone unanswered for an extended period with numerous follow ups to try and get a response.
Supply and communication issues aside, ultimately it may be the software that lets this product down. Without the issues being addressed the G1000 Trainer is simply not functional enough in its current state and ultimately is becoming a very expensive dust collector.
I hope that Bartosz at Aviatek can address and rectify the issues, but until this occurs my advice is to consider purchasing from other providers.
I remain open to working through the issues with Aviatek and will provide an update should things change.
You have a great deal more patience than I do. I would return the product while I could, and wish them well in their future endeavors.
Did you have your issues resolved? I have their setup and hardwareworks fine with MSFS 2020/2024 and X-Plane 11/12.
I also have their G1000 software for the Baron/DA42/C-182 and B200. This works best with X-Plane 12.
I have the same issues with my heading encoders. They used to work but the other day I updated the firmware of the two GDUs and now the heading encoders are doing what you are saying. This is on both MSFS and X-Plane. Looking at the debug log, you can see that when you turn the knob left several clicks, it will put a āRightā response every so often and the other way around.
I did some googling and apparently this is typical with encoder firmware where the polling of the MCU is slow. It can be fixed with some code according to some Arduino users out there.
Unfortunately I could never get it to work. Bartosz from Aviatek couldnāt solve the problem either.
He said in November last year that he will provide a refund but I am still awaiting information to initiate the return. Have sent a number of emails to follow up. Last correspondence on February 10 where he asked for photos and dimensions of package but no response from him since then.
I ordered and have received new units from RealSimGear which work flawlessly.
any updates to this post?
I just put an order in and concerned about the issues with monitor plugs, software, build times?
Only been waiting a week or so after payment?
Thanks
Just a quick updateā¦
Bartosz and I spent a good portion of today working out the kinks. Everything is working as it should. I would reach out to him. Maybe the Aviatek Connector will auto update to the latest version he built today with the new firmware. I am not sure how quickly that takes effect. Also, if you have auto update firmware enabled, I found that the auto function fails with a USB hub. If this is the case, just connect each device directly, even if you have to do one at a time.
Not sure if you are still reading these Bartosz, but thank you if you are!
Bartosz reached out to me yesterday to confirm he will still provide a refund.
He has however asked me to connect the units to my PC again and update to latest firmware to see if that has fixed the issue. Hopefully if it has he can be confident the issue has finally been solved going forward.
When I get a chance to test I will provide an update.
