Axis range very little - cant bind

Hi there,
I’m completly new to MSFS 2024, long time X-Plane user.
I have a cockpit shell with a DIY throttle unit (Cessna Mustang C510 style). The flaps lever uses a very limited rage of the potentiometer. The movement of the axis is not recognized when binding. The 2 throttle and trim axis are no problem. In XP all is working.
Is there an other possibility to define (bind) this axis?

Click the cog icon to the right of the binding row.

That will open a screen where you can manually select the axis, assuming you can identify which is the correct one.

good suggestion, but I do not have 2020. XP user for long time (a happy one :-))
