[AzurPoly Group] - Transall C-160

Good on ya. Help with this one. I purchased the MSFS Market Store version of the Azurpoly C160 the day it came out. When I realized I had no access to the *.cfg files, I waited for the ORBX/Azurpoly version to be released, then uninstalled to MSFS Market store version and installed the Orbx/Azurpoly version.
Now with v1.2.0 I’m still seeing the v1.1.2 version in the Sim.
Anyone else have this proplem? v1.2.0 is in Community verified by date stamp. I also put the engine patch in Community.

Just make sure you delete the market place version and you are good.

Someone on Discord had the same issue. I believe they deleted the files from the community folder and then reinstalled and that cleared the issue.

Yes also seeing this, did the update using Orbx, which is where I purchased it from.

Have quit and deleted (uninstalled) and reinstalled, let’s see. Pretty sure this is the answer as I notice file structure have changed. Will post back.

OK posting back. This did NOT work but for another reason. After reinstalling the plane didn’t show up at all in MSFS. I then see that Orbx has installed it in Community like this:

..\Community\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\FILES ARE HERE

So I have manually moved file to:
..\Community\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\FILES HERE

(including the engine fix on the website)

Let us see…

EDIT: Nope! Still doesn’t show uo in msfs (yes restarted twice).

OK I give up. Guess I better post their Discord.

Whatever I do it is not showing up now. Even after deleting the old
azurpoly_aircraft_transall_CVT_ folder

My message to the Discord if anyone is interested:

Hi all, problem with Orbx Update:

First of all I ran the update normally and it was still the old version that showed up in MSFS
So I Uninstalled and reinstalled
Now I see that new files are definitely in my Community folder, but the aircraft still does not show up in MSFS

So I checked the install location and it was:

..\Community\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\FILES ARE HERE

Notice the double entry of “azurpoly-aircraft-transall”

So I moved all files to ..\Community\azurpoly-aircraft-transall\FILES HERE

Still the aircraft does not show up in MSFS

I removed the old folder:

azurpoly_aircraft_transall_CVT_

And tried again with both folder locations, no luck.

Orbx always installs to the double folder as mentioned above but even if I move the files manually the aircraft still doe not show up in MSFS.

All other aircraft in the Community folder are working fine. There is nothing wrong with my configuration etc.

Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers.Hi all, problem with Orbx Update:

Thank you.

Yes, the required file (folder) to be put in community is inside of the folder that ORBX downloaded to community. I figured it out in the meantime. Thanks.

So, does the update show up if you move the files as I mentioned above? It does not make any difference for me; the aircraft still doesn’t show up in MSFS.

EDIT:

OK got it. What I did:

Previously I had moved the files to the main folder. (So this would be the 1st folder of the nested pair) This time I copied the whole folder (the 2nd one) and deleted the main folder. Then copied the 2nd folder back to Community. Even though the names looked the same. Now it shows up. This is very odd, as I checked the folder names and they appear the same.

Could it have been that I also moved the “version_azurpoly-transall-msfs.txt” file there originally, this time I did not.

OK so it seems that, apart from the nested folders, the file above was the issue. It is added by Orbx and should not be there.

fwiw the Orbx install issue is fixed now.

Had to manually delete the two folders: azurpoly-aircraft-transal and azurpoly-aircraft-transall_CVT_ as Orbx showed the aircraft as not installed. (Did not want to end up with multiple installs). But once this was done, it installs as expected.

New have FMS, same waypoint, how to choose? For example, COA, what to choose SB or EB?

Just doing a flight where as soon as I engage AP I get 4000fpm climb rate which it tries to sustain until the stall warning kicks in. Never had that when using GPS - this is 1st attempt with FMS. Tried multiple times and eventually flew to cruise manually…

Did you set your trim? And did you adjust pitch after engaging AP?

I did indeed.

I get 2000fpm descend rate

Looks like it’s time for a new livery, JanKees Blom… This is VH-RPR, but I’m guessing VH-RFW will look the same soon if it doesn’t already. For those late to the thread: these are ex-German C160s now to be operated as bushfire-fighting aircraft in Australia.
