This is great! Their Bronco is fantastic and the Stoof is a great compliment for those wanting to do some CalFire ops.
This is pretty cool. Glad to see more firefighting assets coming to the sim. I’m glad to see at lease the Conair Turbo Firecat will be one of the first purpose built retardant based functioning tankers in this sim. I don’t really count the 747, since it’s largely non-functional in that respect.
I’d point out too, that this is one of two different versions of the the turbine converted S-2Ts. This is the Conair Turbo Firecat. Which is different than the Marsh S-2F3AT that Cal Fire uses. It’s the less powerful PT-6 powered versions that were flown in Canada and France. I’m looking forward to this one, as well as the S-2F3AT one of our admins in our dev group are working on. The more tankers the better. Maybe we’ll get an S-2A (S-2F1) radial tanker at some point too from someone.
I inquired about this project on the Azurpoly Discord site and they say they’re “making progress” but it’s not to the point they want to start making regular updates.
