AzurPoly SEPECAT Jaguar incoming

Also having some issues in SU2. Can’t remove the ribbon (the throttle/flaps pins). Couldn’t move the throttles at all. But I think it may be an animation issue, because I was still able to start the engines and they did respond to throttle input, even though they don’t visibly move. The flaps, on the other hand, stayed stuck at 40 degrees. I’ll attempt a restart and see if that helps any.

And now things seem to work fine on the restart. So I’m not sure what’s up.

Edit: spoke too soon. The HUD didn’t show up, and the weapons didn’t work. (Also, aren’t there supposed to be missiles and working guns? All I can equip are the bombs and drop tanks…)

Edit #2: I should mention that this is the 2024 native version.

Like Dave, I couldn’t click on the ribbon on the first start, second start it clicked ok, but APU won’t start, so nothing else works.

I’m not even sure what the ‘2024 native’ is, the EFB still controls all the external covers etc.

Very disappointing for a paid upgrade.

Edit: Never mind, I think I found the problem - contrail leaves 1.1.0 installed, and tries to install 1.0.0/24 on top of it because they’re two separate products - both for 2024 according to contrail.

Unfortunately, the 2024 version breaks the repaints I had installed, but I guess the repainters will get that sorted sooner or later.

I only experienced the issues with SU2 Beta 12. With SU2 Beta 13 I had (almost) no issues except the pitot heat switch getting stuck once in 10 loaded flights. That was with the FS2020 version of the Jaguar.

Yesterday I had zero issues with the 2024 native version. Everything worked fine including the weapons.

Keep in mind that the air brakes need to stay extended in order for the APU to work. Apparenty that’s where the exhaust for the APU is located.

Just got this today (native 2024) and it looks to be a superb rendition. The modelling and textures are eexcellent, right down to the swirls on the body paintwork and the custom pilot is similarly well done.

Only had one flight so far, which brought up an alarm with N1, so need to have a good read of the manual. This seems to be quite comprehensive from a simming viewpoint which is helpful and appreciated.

I think I’m going to really enjoy this.

Today everything mostly worked for me. I used the Jag A, and the weapons did activate and such. I couldn’t figure out how to actually FIRE the missiles though - the button on the right console seems to just jettison the stores, not fire the rockets. The bombs drop, although I didn’t see any visuals for impact (no crater or boom-boom). The HUD now works; I don’t know what switch I hit to make it active, but something did the trick. Everything else was fine, and the plane is a pleasure to fly.

One new thing… when I made (ahem) some uncontrolled intercepts of the ground plane, any part of the plane that isn’t the wheels appears to clip through the world entirely. I wound up “flying” (= tumbling uncontrolably) underneath the terrain for a bit. Odd!

I haven’t checked what to actually click in the cockpit (I would assume something on the flight stick), but you can bind the command “Trigger Horn” to fire the missles / drop the bombs and “War Emergency Power” to fire the guns.

Before you can fire you have to activate the master arm with the dial on the front panel behind the stick (that one also activates the HUD). Then you also need to arm the weapon of choice on the weapon control panel (on the right console) AND select the proper hard point (station) with the square buttons (they cycle through different armaments from what I can tell).

The big red and black striped button is indeed for selectively jettisoning ordnance, not to fire it. Hence no crater or boom boom.

There is a manual available on the Azurpoly website that details the use of weapons starting at page 108:

And therein lies the problem: I had Rev3 of the manual, which only goes to page 103… I have now corrected this error! (I was wondering why there wasn’t any info at all about weapons binding in the manual…!)

I tried the native version for msfs2024. Excellent and interesting from many points of view, but I have to point out a small lack of design: in the cockpit there is the brake parachute command but inoperative. At least for the RAF Germany it was normal training practice to take off and land from highways or in any case from short decentralized runways. In such contexts the use of the brake parachute was indispensable. I hope for a future update…

The model doesn’t include a UK spec cockpit, but it might come later :crossed_fingers:t2:

Does anyone have any idea when the 2024 version will show on the MP?

I got this, flew it, worked great. Today, went to fly again and FS2024 had disabled it. Crazy. So much for compatibility with FS2020….

Just picked up the Jaguar and loving it! Can you bring it to DCS world? That would be awesome…

Has the Jaguar been updated to 1.10 on Market place for FS2024, when I load into the plane it tells me there is a new version, mine only shows 1.0.1 and I cant find where to update.

Hoping that it why my speed brakes not working

Thanks Spoonsnz

The jaguar’s speed brakes are locked extended while the gear is down.

As for the update, I can’t speak for the marketplace, but the version on contrail was updated - both the 2024 native and the 2020 native. Still no 3rd party liveries for the ‘24 native though, because noone can be bothered to convert their 2020 liveries.

Hello,

There are currently technical issues on the Marketplace and 1.1.0 update is not available yet. It has been released on third-party stores (Contrail and Simmarket).

Please contact our support with you have issues with spoilers. They are automatically blocked if APU is running or if no hydraulic power is available.

Hi! I got the Jag a cpl of days back. Sometimes I cant retract gear, is that normal? Lever is in UP pos.

Hello! I also find the moment the aircraft lifts from the ground kind of “jerky”. It’s like there is a twitch, the plane wobbles and then you have to correct for that. Can you pls tell me if that happens to you as well?

I also see the figure / siluette of a pilot (?) when going from ext to int camera. But that is probably FS, right? (whats causing this?)

Great plane! I love the analogue cockpit as well. =)

I thought it was just me, I too momentarily see the silhouette of the pilot when I switch between views, I wanted to purchase the Jaguar for a while now but it was always expensive and recently was the 1st time I have ever seen it on sale…so I purchased it and I honestly thought it would be muuuuuch better, I guess it is worth it only if purchased at a discounted price.

I think its a FS24 problem. I do see similar silouettes with other planes as well, but also lagging (moving…har to explain) instruments etc when switching from exterior to cockpit camera etc.

But the Jaguar itself is really nice, if you ask me. But theres something up with the fuel consumption, since it uses as much fuel as a Toyota Hybrid. You can tune in “I drove all night” with Chris Rea if you wanted to…haha.
