B787 auto throttle/A/T ARM broken after recent patching

B787 A/T not functioning after recent patch. Anyone facing similar issue?

It’s not only the 787, but also the 747
On autopilot or on manual flight the A/T does not work and does not provide enough thrust for the aircraft to stay in the air. Speed control also fails because of this.
For example, you set it to 180 knots, but the speed keeps dropping, then the altitude drops as it tries to keep the altitude by pitching the nose up, so unless you take over the throttle and switch A/T off or the plane crashes. This happens regardless of speed by the way, it can be at 300 knots and it will still throttle back and the plane goes into a dive, not maintaining altitude.

Having the same issue with the A320. Completely broken.

thanks guys, I thought its just me. I will report this to zendesk and I hope you guys do the same if haven’t done so. @Mirdin911 @PeaPod4407

I actually managed to fix this, but you won’t like the way I did it…

The problem seems to be in the flight_model.cfg file of the aircraft, which is in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Packages\Official\Steam folder for me (in each aircrafts folder).

These files might not have been updated with the latest patch, for different reasons, which would cause the uncontrollable aircraft upon landing and also the A/T issues.

What I did was, I deleted the files named flight_model.cfg, then did a “Check File Integrity” for the game and it redownloaded these files. The problem is, it also redownloaded a lot of other files for the sim, so you might want to try an alternative fix unless you want the game to redownload most of its files again, which will definitely fix it if you have the time to wait for 100 GB+ download.

nice solution but when I saw this, I guess I’ll have to pass. Since. I’m too on Steam. No pun intended

Guess I have to wait for Asobo to officially fix this. Don’t know when though :joy:
