B78X - Managing Step Climbs--Simbrief vs. FMS

When Simbrief generates its OFP there are “FL STEPS” calculated in the first nine or ten lines of the OFP. Until the latest SU13 update, I used them to perform my step climbs for long-haul flights.

Since the inception of SU13, there now exists the capability to import the OFP/flight plan directly into the FMS/FMC from SimBrief. Once all is settled down and the cruise portion of the flight has been achieved, there then exists on the PROG/PROGRESS page (bottom right) a TO STEP CLB with a time and distance to said step climb.

The problem is that the SimBrief OFP steps do not agree with those calculated by the FMS/FMC.

Which do I honor and use?
(if this has been answered elsewhere, please advise and I’ll look it up)

I know it’s been covered on the Working Title Discord server extensively, but the short summary is follow the FMC. They are calculated by the plane using all existing data and performance. Simbrief step climbs are just crude estimates.
