This is getting worse again, and I’m running out of ideas.

I’ve probably flown more today than any other day since release day. It’s been flawless for me in the UK.
Good for me also, at least 4 starts from cold.
I’ve flown today in the UK and had no problems getting into the sim, but when in free flight, I’ve had an error constantly saying cannot get live air traffic data, retrying.
Im Virgin Media, maybe that’s the issue?
Virgin media has been no problem for me today. But they are known to have outages all over the UK on a regular basis unfortunately.

Me too, I’m also in the UK and I’ve just tried to load MSFS2024 and got an immediate ‘Insufficient Bandwidth’ message and it wouldn’t load a free flight, just like day two! My Internet is 75mbps just as it’s been for ever and it has been working, after a fashion. Back to FS 2020 for me.
All OK for me in the UK too. Not doubting the OPs problem, it’s just weird how it varies so much across different users in the same region.
Delete your reserved data and try again - sometimes the rolling cache can corrupt and cause you to stick on 97%

Unfortunately short of digging a trench and putting fibre to my house, I’m unable to upgrade that. Those of us outside cities are unlikely to upgrade for years, it’s a painfully slow process in the UK.
Reinstalled, rebooted everything, checked cable speeds… no change.
Just UK / Virgin Media getting nerfed again
Also just downloaded 2020, stuck on “Checking for updates”.
So I guess I can assume this is going to be an ongoing issue now.

No issues here for me (other than the frequent message about being unable to access live flight data during the game.)

I’ve had issues with it today too on xbox series X, been getting low bandwidth, textures not loading properly, and generally taking forever to load anything, also weird bugs like passengers turning up in free flight and it changing the plane, so I guess they must be fiddling with the servers, now it’s taking forever to load
Edit I seem to of lost engine sounds now, and it’s saying the plane crashed when it literally didn’t
On Xbox Home Screen (sorry not sure for PC), press the 3 lines button on your controller with the sim selected. Now go to manage game and addons. Now go to saved data and select reserved space. Delete this and then restart the Xbox. It’ll take a bit longer to load the sim first time round but shouldn’t hang over 90% for any length of time
It’s been 24 hours, still the same for me.
I’m having to leave the sim alone for a while, it’s just not a functioning product. I’m absolutely gutted.
Have you tried a reinstall? That has worked for a few people I’ve spoken to and Microsoft recommend trying it
