Bad Grafic (bunte Häuser)

The best and what ever grafics from bing???
it looks like flightsims on my amiga500 from the 90th…
these houses has nothing to do with the real envirenment, more then LEGO or MINECRAFT…

there are several nice spots with good grafix (e.g. new york) but this is disgusting!
the one pic is from SYLT (isle from the north west germany) , i got many more from bigger citys like HAMBURG (germany) but i was only allowed to upload one picture…

i play with 25-35fps @1080P with all setting on high quality (i tried ULTRA but the grafix still awfull)
16GB RAM and 8GB VRAM, no limit on downloads (100mbit) and all ONLINE

is this “works as designed”, or is something wrong here?
(i bought the DVD standard version)

THX in advance

!

This is definitely a bug. Try clearing your rolling cache. I believe someone else reported buildings like this a while ago but I can’t think what to search for.

My flight over Sylt looked like this just now:

i am afraid but this doesnt change anythin :pensive:

  1. i do a repair in the ms store
  2. delete cache in explorer
  3. change cache dir to the installation source (i installed on e: and the cache was on c: )
  4. make a manuel cache with download of the area of hamburg (20gb cache and only 2mb download)

as you can see in the picture, the houses are as before and the 8GB rolling cache was the standard the game advised (~400GB free space)

flight is from the north to the airport, in the background to downtown the grafix are nice.
i tright to fly some rounds but as you can see in the taskmanager network is nothin, so he didnt download anythin during the flight…
:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Why must people undermine the point of their post by throwing their e-toys out of their e-pram and saying something ridiculous.

“This looks like something from my Amiga in the 90’s”…No…It doesn’t.

If you think it looks like that, get your eyes tested.

i think you know what i mean…

it says “detailed and real envirenment” or “fly over your house” …
yes i can, but nothin real…

so if your game is running fine (or wherever you fly it looks great as is could be like i saw in some cities) then by happy!

i was asking about some suggestions on my issue and not to blame anything ore anyone.
THX!

Have you tried installing the latest graphics drivers? Something is definitely broken there.

i have a RX580 and installed with an older radeon 20.5.x or something.
now i have the latest 20.8.2 but as you can see … nope :frowning:

I suspect that the RX580 does not cope with the FS2020…

as i already said, its not generally!

this pic is from downtown hamburg.
so THAT is what i was expecting and i dont understand why temporarily the GFX is that poor…

You are simply not meant to be flying this low, especially over a highly populated city. This is a flight simulator, it’s meant to look good from altitude.

that might be correct, but even from 2.000ft you`ll see theese yellow/green/red something houses..
and look at the screenshot from “ojhwel” who flies over the same place. him and my pics are very different.

I tried to fly over your location (SYLT) and it looks pretty normal to me. Do you really have photogrammetry option enabled?

@Noctover is right, a statement like this does not make people want to help you.

Secondly, your Sylt picture clearly is not normal, but shows rendering artifacts. Sometimes those artifacts are signs of a dying graphics card. You might want to check if other games with similar stressful settings produce similar artifacts or maybe run a GPU benchmark to be sure. I assume your GPU temperatures are within normal bounds?

@Zutrus
maybe but i don’t force anyone to help me, and if someone feels personally attacked i excuse me.
my english is not that good so maybe language skills makes the difference

btw my card does run very well in other games, no flickering, no artifacts and temp everything under 90° celsius should be no problem. and look the picture from downtown, the houses there are 100%.

@Mariangello
i have not found that identical setting, is this the site that you mean?
here is all “on”

Try resetting settings on this part, maybe in the graphic section too. But restart MFS after you do this and start it again.

Is this with an Nvidia card? Have you changed or forced settings within the Nvidia control panel?

now i tried everything (cleaning cache, reset settings, update drivers, closed the afterburner which only shows the speed and fps etc…) no other settings made in the driver, all @stock but nothing changed :pensive:

@Mariangello and @ojhwel
which version do you have?
i have the STANDARD DVD version, maybe there´s a difference between other versions or if you using steam?!?

I have the Windows Store version

If you’ve tried it all, it might come down to a reinstall I’m afraid.. as a last resort of course.

Can you show us a screenshot of your graphics and data setting menus in FS2020?
