Unfortunately it would appear that this is the case. I used to support a help desk, and the goal was to minimize the waits during peak periods because to have enough staff to handle every call with zero wait time would have been too expensive. I get that they’re using that same theory here, but they’re coming up short. It seems that they need to go to MS with bended knee for more servers (assuming that’s how it works).
It’s a MS product at the end of the day, so one group within MS has to talk to another group in MS.

Occasional server issues are normal for any online game. Nothing runs perfectly 100% of the time.
It was the first and last time that I had bandwidth issues in several months now and it only lasted half an hour or so.
Mine has been totally unplayable for over a month.

Same here, but I heard from friends in other parts of the US that they were fine. I’m in Texas where I couldn’t get a server response for 20 min or more after 5 pm local. Since I started using a VPN to access the Azure cloud from out of state it has worked very well.

I still get low bandwidth error and won’t load into airport. I have 700mbps DL speed verified while loading. I have also pinged multiple addresses while loading and have a 35ms return time. I do not have the map enhancement many mention either. The issue is not on my side.
I’m in Texas as well. Who is your ISP? I have AT&T Fiber and have been having intermittent issues with “low bandwidth” despite 1G service.
I also have ATT 1Gb fiber but the problem is not the pipe which tests at 1.3Gb; rather it is slow response from distant end server. Running the Google Speed Test, my favorite speed test, my system (link, router, switch, LAN and PC) runs about 750 Mb but watching the data on the Process Explorer I see the distant end not responding.

I have Charter/Spectrum cable.
Not sure if this is related but every time I start to descend I get very bad stutters and when I land my game usually crashes. And every time I get to the airport and start the plane up it has very bad stutters.
Not related, the issue discussed here is lack of server response not lack of bandwidth and I’m not sure that is your problem either because you didn’t mention getting the low bandwidth warning.
