Bandwidth too low to stream PG data

If you search Speed Test in Chrome, you’ll get a different test that usually gets me better results than Ookla’s. But I still get wildly different results just running the same test multiple times. The only way to really test for latency in a path is to run the tracert command in a DOS window, but you need the server’s IP for that, and I suspect Asobo/MS won’t be giving that out anytime soon.

450+ download speed. It’s a server issue. Active pause the sim for around 30 seconds and it will catch up.

But this is happening the last week?

It’s still happening now. The only ways to fix it, temporarily, are to pause and wait or pause and toggle the PG off then back on.

I haven’t had it today as of yet touchwood

Look at the terrain. It’s bad.

I have 450+ Download/12 upload consistently with Ookla.
I’ve been getting the can’t use Azure voices since SU5 or SU6 at least a few times a week. There’s no consistency to when it happens that I can see. I’ve been using FS since August 2019 and never had the issue prior to SU5 or SU6 or so, whichever update it was that they made the major change to the graphics.

I have gigabit fibre. Whatever speed test I run, I get 800+ Mbits consistently. MSFS is the only app I have “bandwidth issues” with.

Oddly, I can download large ISO images from my VisualStudio.Net account directly from MS, and I’m always seeing those downloads basically saturate whatever bandwidth I have available.

Add me to the list. I keep getting “your bandwidth is too low…” Pop up message in the last 3 weeks or so.

It never happened before and I’ve been running this sim since release day. My download speed has not changed. It must be something on their end.

mine has randomly stopped doing that! not sure if it was server side but I get you - very annoying!

I just got it.

Been replying trying to sort our this in another thread, saw massive outages (from what I’m accustomed to seeing)

Windows insider update channel is pretty throttled, screenshot from the new update processing

As I was afraid of…Christmas and all of the recent holidays brought on more new users that are pounding and exceeding their server and network infrastructure.

I’ve had some PG and a lot of Azore speech disconnects.

Been getting the bandwidth errors, connection loses, streaming errors as well recently… and constantly today. WTH is going on.

EDIT: Now crashed on the world map. which I never usually get. Usually have no isses at all. Is the sim just desintegrating today or something??

I think it’s server side because mine has stopped now!

Very annoying I know!

Yeah I thought so too. How is it for you now? I’m not getting the disconnect/bandwidth errors anymore but can’t load into the plane, the blue progress bar gets stuck at about 65% for ages and ages. Task manager does NOT show “not responding”, but it just does nothing. Anyone else having this issue right now?

mine is ok now. I had that issue also but it was due to the version of FBW I was running.

remove the mod and do a clean download and install of the mod.

Addon or default aircraft?
Some of the addons like the FBW and CRJ can take a very, very long time to load, especially if you just updated them.
Haven’t seen any complaints here today on your issue…

I do use a couple of addons but loading times are usually 2mins tops, plus the issue persists in Safe Mode, so can’t be that…
