Came here to report this so im just adding to this post. I have NEVER seen another players rotors turning. Its always static and super derpy.

It’s not 100% correct. The rotors of the Guimbal do turn in Multiplayer. But I know it’s a prob with many various 3rd party helis and quite some planes, as well.

The title mentioned only the Bell 407

Yup. I see the G2 rotors just fine. It’s the Bell 407 with the problem and they are larger helicopters and stick out like a sore thumb.

This is exactly what is mentioned in my OP. Not mentioned Cabri G2 for which there’s no issue

yes, totally agreed.
I was referring to the statement “I have NEVER seen another players rotors turning”.
I thought you mean this generally in the sim / on all aircraft (which wouldn’t be correct, Guimbal being a working example), but I see you also meant only the Bell 407. It’s in fact a bigger issue in multiplayer. Some airplanes have LOD issues at distance, e.g. gear always down, prop not rotating or simply looking ugly… I hope now that the sim is pretty busy in multiplayer that the whole multiplayer-experience gets a bit more love from Asobo it definitely deserves.

Yes, what a pity, the Guimbal shows its rotors spinning and ad a lot of immersion and reality, but the 407 is so unrealistic non immersionist.

And represent other helicopters with a helicopter texture, the other day I watched a big generic commercial doble aisle passenger aircraft trying to land in the Manhattan heliport hahah, was incredible, totally real flight simulation.

Sorry for deleting that post. Required some additional testing.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

Cause: Bell 407 animation code uses variable “ROTOR RPM PCT” which is not synced on MP. Cabri G2 uses “ROTOR RPM” which is synced on MP.
Workaround: Rewrite rotor animation code to use “ROTOR RPM” Try dropping this working mod into community folder for an example: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/697885739144183901/1042596926798962708/wombiiactual-aircraft-bell407-MProtorfix_v1-1.zip
Best fix: Enable MP syncing of both variables in MSFS MP system.

Edit for those who are testing the fix above: This may not be compatible with other 407 mods, if they contain the same xml file. This should be considered a temporary fix and must be removed when Microsoft/Asobo releases an update for the 407.

Amazing fix @WombiiActual, yes it works, just not easy to find another Bell 407 around the world, flying at my time and not sure if it’s that much visible on my screenshot, but yes the rotor of the Bell 407 still on the ground is rotating and shown blurred here :

Better visual :

I was struggling with the same, but managed to find some at the Manhattan heliport.
I’ll see if .to accepts it as an aircraft enhancement and see if the 407 enhancement mod dev is interested in including it.

I renamed your folder to “zzz_wombiiactual-aircraft-bell407-MProtorfix” hoping, though not sure at first it would help to override the Bell 407 Mod I’ve installed previously in v0.4 and yes it did ! :grinning:

[EDIT] Just added the precision for the Mod override, @WombiiActual

They should work together only as long as the other mod doesn’t contain the same xml file. But it should be considered a temporary fix that should be removed when MS/Asobo releases an official update to the 407.

Thanks in any case for your contribution
