Cirrus Vision Jet is a real gem to fly in icing conditions. Fun to watch the boots Inflate and deflate.
Seneca V is great with the “weather window” windscreen heater.
Cirrus SR22 can handle moderate icing and is always on my list for mountain flying.
Diamond DA62 cuts through the ice and looks great doing so. Window icing on this aircraft really looks nice.
I’ve gotten in trouble with the Bonanza G36 and it’s less than optimal icing system. My whole windscreen was a sheet of ice on approach! However the Baron G58 is a work horse and has no problem in some icy snowy weather.
As well, on the 152 note… I’ve tried over and over to get icing in the carburetor, by descending without using the carb heat. The way I treat the thing my engine would be a block of ice. But for some reason the temps never drop and rpm can be regained like it’s a 75° day. I’m on Xbox so my mods / addons are limited.
